Hampshire Collector Con will take place at Badger Farm Community Centre on Sunday, August 2, from 10am to 4pm. The event promises a day filled with trading cards and rare memorabilia. The inaugural convention is expected to draw visitors from across the South Coast and beyond. It is designed for collectors, traders, families, and trading card game (TCG) fans of all ages, offering something for everyone whether they’re seasoned collectors or newcomers to the hobby. Claire Walker, of CW Events Hampshire, said: “We are so excited to team up with South Coast Card Co and bring the very first Hampshire Collector Con to Winchester. “The collector community is growing faster than a Pokémon levelling up, and we wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome – from serious collectors and competitive players to families, casual fans, and complete beginners. “Come along, meet your people, support some incredible independent businesses and maybe even discover your next grail card.” Attendees can look forward to a wide range of independent vendors selling Pokémon cards, sports cards, graded cards, memorabilia, and collector merchandise. The event will also feature a family-friendly mascot meet and greet, with organisers promising it will be “electrifying”, as well as refreshments and catering throughout the day. South Coast Card Co, co-organiser of the convention, said: “The TCG community is passionate, friendly and always ready to welcome new trainers into the hobby. “Hampshire Collector Con is about bringing everyone together to trade, discover new cards, share their collections and celebrate everything we love about the hobby. Whether your binder is fully loaded or you are opening your first-ever pack, this event is for you.” The event is supported by sponsors INVICTA TCG and We Print Lanyards. It aims to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for collectors of all backgrounds and experience levels, with many expected to travel from across Hampshire and neighbouring counties. The event is organised by CW Events Hampshire in partnership with South Coast Card Co. Early entry at 10am costs £4, with general admission at 11am priced at £2.50.
